Nassir Abdulaziz Al-nasser, the high representative of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, saying he plans to attend the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing on May 14 and 15.

"China has noticed expressions in the summit chairman's statement about the South China Sea. At present, thanks to joint efforts of regional countries, the temperatures of the South China Sea situation have gone down, things have eased up and the situation is developing in a positive way."

Geng Shuang, Foreign Ministry spokesman, said of a chairman's statement issued by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit in Manila on April 30.

"We present the readers with a more substantial and objective legal basis of the whole process, from the establishment of the court and the disputes over jurisdiction to the court trials and the discussion of sentencing and measurement of penalties."

Cheng Zhaoqi, author of The Tokyo Trial: For World Peace and director of Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Center for the Tokyo Trial Studies, said at the book's debut in Shanghai on May 2. The book outlines the history of tribunals for accused Japanese war criminals and the far-reaching impact.
