Dining with a special Christmas tree
For the Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas day meals, diners can try the traditional roasted turkey, roasted lamb leg, baked salmon, oysters, lobster and an extensive selection of other festive delights and Christmas themed sweet treats at Feast (Food by East) at East, Beijing. The restaurant does not forget the little ones with its newly expanded Kid's Corner at Feast turning into a Santa's grotto.
While you enjoy tastes of the holi-day season, stop by the lobby at East, Beijing for a special Christmas tree - a "Tree of Wearables" designed by Mobo.design. Made of 34 Plexiglass boxes, the tree is about 3.5m tall, and sparkles with the festive colors of green and red. People are invited to place discarded clothes in a donation box in the lobby and these will be packed into the boxes and displayed during the season. At the beginning of January the clothing will be collected from the Christmas tree with the help of Roundabout, a social enterprise that gives support to 48 charitable organizations throughout China. Roundabout will donate to the students from Shigou Primary School in the rural parts of Huining county, Gansu province, as well as their families, giving them a gift of hope and a warmer winter. The Tree of Wearables will be on display throughout December. Christmas Eve dinner is available 5:30 pm-10 pm, priced at 488 yuan per person, and Christmas Day buffet is available 12 pm-9 pm, priced at 388 yuan per person.
