8. The beauty of vision: Loving Vincent

Loving Vincent, a much-anticipated film for Van Gogh fans, has won many audiences' hearts since its premiere in China on Dec 8. It is a biographical animated film about the life of the great painter Vincent van Gogh. It took the director seven years to complete the film, including 65,000 paintings by 125 artists from 15 countries.

This is an unprecedented undertaking, with impressive visual impact. It brought Van Gogh’s paintings to life and made people feel able to communicate with him in a parallel universe. Fans of Van Gogh were much moved when they saw the screen full of wheat fields, ravens, and starry skies.
