China's top court and its largest online search engine unveiled a mobile court map on Friday.

Residents can use the smartphone application, Baidu Map, to locate a court and get related information such as opening times, according to a statement by the Supreme People's Court.

So far, more than 3,500 courts nationwide have shared information for the map, it said.

"In the past, the locations of some courts were not updated in a timely manner or were incorrect, but now, through our cooperation with Baidu, the problem has been solved," said Xu Jianfeng, director of the top court's information center.

Now, the location and information are provided by each court, and details can be updated at any time on the map, "which can save litigants time and is more convenient for them," he added.

If users have any other questions, a telephone icon on the map will allow them to contact the court, the statement added.
