How foreigners view US-initiated trade war

As for the trade imbalance, I feel the problem lies entirely with the US people. The wealth of each American is much higher than anywhere else in the world. Many Americans live in mansions, driving luxury cars, go on exotic trips around the world several times a year, etc. There is a trade imbalance between China and the US because the US wants more and more stuff. They are never satisfied with what they have. If China gives in to Trump's demands, within a few years, Trump will make more demands from the Chinese government and its people. It'll never end - China will only be poorer and the US richer.

Making any changes in China that benefits the US at this time would hurt China because the Chinese people are not ready to make this transition. China is still, in some ways, a developing nation when compared to the US. For example, wages in China are still low compared to the US. Also, the technology is not as advanced in some places in China as compared to the US - especially in the countryside.
