Chinese stocks close higher

Chinese stocks soared on the last trading day of the week, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 2.05 percent, closing at 2,829.27 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index increased 1.12 percent, rising to 9,251.48 points.
The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, climbed 1.23 percent on Friday to 1,609.55 points.
