This tiny one-bedroom house is perched at the base of the world’s largest and most active volcano. [Photo/IC]

Rising from the ashes, the beautiful Phoenix House is built on top of the 1990 Kalapana lava flow at the base of Mauna Loa volcano in Hawaii.

The spectacular location of the 450-square foot, solar-powered tiny house allows views of the ocean, while the 100-foot waterfall of lava flowing into the ocean at one ton a minute is just four miles away.
