Logistics provider wants to explore more opportunities in China

Third party logistics provider C. H. Robinson wants to explore opportunities in China as the country is furthering the opening-up and welcoming foreign investment, an executive from the top non-vessel operator for Sino-US trade said on Tuesday.
"We are positive about the outlook of the business we are involved in, especially as the Chinese top leader announced more opening-up measures," said Schnell Jeng, director of products and services, C. H. Robinson Asia Global Forwarding.
At the China International Import Expo (CIIE) being held in Shanghai, C.H. Robinson is presenting a full range of logistics and supply chain solutions especially for Asia inbound supply chain needs, demonstrating its dedicated support to China's trade strategy of proactively opening the Chinese market to the world.
Trade cooperation and the further development of an open world economy over the next 10 years are projected to benefit inbound cargo value to China with double-digit growth in the coming years, according to the company.
"China's consumer market continues impressive growth," said John Chen, vice-president of C. H. Robinson Asia Global Forwarding. "Import growth in China still outpaces exports. By leveraging our vast network and core service offerings, we aim to deliver competitive advantages to customers around the world."
C.H. Robinson also offers complete customs and compliance services in China, which is their second-largest market after the United States, Jeng added.
