2018 was a year of unexpected events, both good and bad. At various multilateral occasions in 2018, President Xi Jinping expounded the vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind.

Significant progress has been made in the Korean peninsula. In Europe, the UK was busy with its "divorce" deal with EU.

We lost some influential figures this year, and saw many natural disasters and conflicts. However, away from the darkness, there was some light.

As the year draws to a close, let's look back at 2018.
