Xi said he hoped they would learn more about the history of the Chinese revolution, development and reform; follow the example of heroes; devote their passion to the Party, the motherland and the people; and carry on the fine traditions.

He said he expected the students to be grateful for their happy life, make good use of their time, and study hard so that they will contribute to the nation, the people and society in the future.

Xi visited Zhaojin township, once a revolutionary base, in February 2015.
