Xi's special envoy to attend memorial service for Chirac

BEIJING -- President Xi Jinping's special envoy Dai Bingguo, a former Chinese State Councilor, will attend the memorial service for former French President Jacques Chirac on Sept. 30 in Paris at the invitation of the French government, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang announced Sunday.
