New Zealand educator slams Western press for HK coverage

Chris Lonsdale, a psychologist and educator from New Zealand who has been living in Hong Kong since 1984, is critical of the hypocrisy Western mainstream media demonstrates in its coverage of China. Information that doesn't fit their narrative is invariably left out, he said. Their reporting of the violent protests in Hong Kong is a case in point, Lonsdale told China Daily.
Anybody who cares for Hong Kong must refrain from glorifying violence, he said.
