New HK-Macao youth headquarters opens in Guangzhou


A headquarters of the Hong Kong and Macao youth association has been launched in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, aiming to support young people from the two special administrative regions to start up businesses in the Pearl River Delta region.
The headquarters, with an area of about 2,500 square meters at Tianyu Square in downtown Tianhe district, will provide one-stop service for business incubation, public service, demonstration, communication and activities of associations for Hong Kong and Macao young people.
The headquarters has also signed a cooperative framework agreement with the Guangzhou branch of China Construction Bank.
"By cooperating with local financial organizations, Hong Kong and Macao young people will have better access to financial support for their businesses in Guangzhou," said Lin Huibin, director of the Guangzhou Tianhe Hong Kong and Macao Youth Association.
According to Lin, the headquarters will invite specialists from the construction, law and accounting sectors to open consulting service for young people from the two special administrative regions.
The headquarters, which has a housing area for more than 100 companies, has so far attracted 16 start-up businesses.
