Exhibition celebrates artist's versatility

Innovation by Tradition, an exhibition dedicated to works created by Shanghai-based artist Han Tianheng, shows his achievements in classic ink painting, calligraphy, seal carving, theoretical studies and designs through the decades.
The exhibition was held at the National Museum of China in Beijing through Nov 24.
Han, a senior member of Xiling Seal Engravers' Society, a prominent institution of Chinese studies in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, has endeavored in the various fields of Chinese art and learned to develop a style that ushers Chinese cultural traditions into a new era.
