Taipei ship arrives in Pingtan with epidemic prevention materials
A ship carrying fresh aquatic products, fruits and anti-epidemic materials from Taipei berthed at Pingtan Jinjing Port in Fujian province, on Thursday, according to a report from China News Service.
The epidemic prevention and control materials, including 7,040 N95 respirators, 186 general medical masks, 522 bottles of disinfectant spray and 20 body temperature thermometers, will be sent to Wuhan, Hubei province, center of the novel coronavirus outbreak.
Pingtan Customs said it was the first inbound cargo ship to arrive at the port after Chinese Spring Festival.
Customs carried out boarding quarantine for the inbound cargo ship, issued health declaration cards to all 24 crew members, carried out body temperature tests and epidemiological investigation, and no abnormalities were found.
The local customs office opened a green channel to ensure quick clearance and withdrawal of the materials from the Taipei vessel.
