NHC: Cured and Discharged Cases Continue to Rise Nationwide
At the press briefing organized by the State Council inter-agency task force on COVID-19 outbreak on the afternoon of 26 February, Mi Feng, an NHC spokesperson, said that between 00:00 and 24:00, 25 February, 406 confirmed cases, 52 fatal cases (all in Hubei province) and 439 suspected cases were newly reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.
Mi noted that with enhanced medical capacity and optimized therapeutics, the number of cured and discharged cases has been rising steadily across the country. For the next step, in addition to required post-discharge care and follow-up visits, more will be done to analyze the discharged cases to develop more effective diagnostic and therapeutic solutions and technical road map. This will contribute empirical and technical support to the further improvement of treatments as well as to disease control in relevant countries.
