Hong Kong reports 3rd death case of COVID-19
HONG KONG - Hong Kong's Hospital Authority announced on Sunday evening the third death case of COVID-19 in Hong Kong.
A 76-year-old female patient confirmed with COVID-19 infection deteriorated and passed away in Caritas Medical Centre at 5:13 pm local time on Sunday, according to a press release from the Hospital Authority.
Two male patients, aged 39 and 70 respectively, passed away in February after being diagnosed with novel coronavirus infection.
According to a daily press briefing jointly held earlier Sunday by Hong Kong's Centre for Health Protection (CHP) and the Hospital Authority, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Hong Kong has risen to 113.
As of Sunday noon, 58 patients who had COVID-19 infection have been discharged from the hospital upon recovery.
