The report on the work of the government is a practical one. While analyzing the past and the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, the report states negative economic growth in the first quarter. Despite the negative growth rate, this report also firmly sets targets the government wants to achieve in numerous sectors even though the government has not set an economic growth target for 2020. I am eager to see how China conquers this challenge. I believe that the two sessions will focus on people-centric polices to the betterment of whole China's development and prosperity.
