Mongolian artwork is displayed in Monishan town in Hohhot on Sunday. Visitors can communicate with the inheritors — those officially recognized and appointed to pass on the old arts and traditions — face to face in the town and experience the charm of these traditional techniques. More than 80 handicrafts and other intangible cultural heritage projects are on display in Monishan town in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, including naoge performances and Inner Mongolian leather carvings.

Naoge is a type of folk performance usually staged one day before the Lantern Festival, which falls on the 15th day of the first month of the Chinese lunar calendar.

Each man in a parade carries an iron frame fastened to his waist with a child wearing a colorful costume standing on top. The men parade to the beat of drums and gongs.
