Crude oil output rises by 0.6% last month

China's crude oil output edged up by 0.6 percent on a yearly basis to 16.46 million metric tons in July, slightly retreating from an increase of 0.7 percent registered in June, official data showed. During this period, China processed about 59.56 million tons of crude oil, up 12.4 percent year on year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. In the first seven months of this year, China's crude oil output gained 1.4 percent year-on-year to 113.5 million tons.

Mobile phone shipments fall

Mobile phone shipments stood at 22.3 million units in July in China, down 34.8 percent on a yearly basis, according to data from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology. In the January-July period, shipments fell by 20.4 percent on a yearly basis to 175 million units, said the CAICT, a research institute under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. In the same period, 256 new models were introduced in the market, of which 119 were 5G models.
