Chinese mainland reports 19 new imported COVID-19 cases

BEIJING -- The Chinese mainland reported 19 new imported COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the total number of imported cases to 3,142, the National Health Commission said Tuesday.
Of the new imported cases, five were reported in both Shanghai and Guangdong, three in Sichuan, two in Tianjin, and one each in Beijing, Jiangsu, Fujian and Chongqing, the commission said in its daily report.
Among all the imported cases, 2,897 had been discharged from hospitals after recovery while 245 remained hospitalized, the commission said.
No deaths had been reported from the imported cases.
