Dumplings for polar bears a cool way to mark new year

During the Spring Festival, Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park prepared dumplings for the polar bears in the park to celebrate the new year.
The stuffing for every dumpling was composed of 1,000 grams of beef and 500 grams of carrots, and each dumpling weighed between 1,500 to 2,000 grams.
The polar bears eat two to three dumplings per meal, according to park officials.
Having dumplings during the Spring Festival is customary for many Chinese, while preparing dumplings symbolizes wrapping up good luck, the park officials said.
