Guangdong further tightens virus control amid new cases


Guangzhou city in Guangdong province reported 10 new locally transmitted COVID-19 patients on Monday.
Guangdong recorded nine new COVID-19 patients from previously identified locally transmitted asymptomatic carriers, including four in Guangzhou, three in Shenzhen, and one in Foshan and Zhanjiang respectively.
Guangdong reported three imported COVID-19 patient cases and nine imported asymptomatic carrier cases on Monday.
In Yuexiu district of Guangzhou, dine-in services at all restaurants and canteens were suspended on Monday.
People are required to show a health code from mobile phone for entering key venues such as restaurants and hospitals in Guangzhou starting on Monday.
All the agricultural produce markets in areas under closed management in Guangzhou were suspended on Monday, with commodity supplies to people living in the areas to be further boosted.
The government of Huizhou city in Guangdong required late on Monday that residents in the city avoid leaving the city unless necessary and present a negative nucleic acid test result within 72 hours if traveling to a destination outside Guangdong.
The government of Chaozhou city in Guangdong required that people with identity cards of Guangzhou and Foshan or having traveled to the two cities in 14 days present a negative nucleic acid test result within 48 hours if traveling from Chaozhou to a destination outside Guangdong.
The government of Zhuhai city in Guangdong required that people having traveled to Guangzhou and Foshan in 14 days present a negative nucleic acid test result within 48 hours if traveling from Zhuhai to a destination outside Guangdong.
In Dongguan city in Guangdong, all residents in 17 townships and subdistricts, including Humen, Machong and Shatian, will have nucleic acid tests in three days ending on Wednesday.
In Jiangmen, all residents in three districts and a county-level city will have nucleic acid tests in three days ending on Wednesday.
