China-Vietnam freight train trips surge in H1

South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region handled 145 China-Vietnam freight trains in the first half of this year, up 64.8 percent year-on-year, according to the China Railway Nanning Group Co Ltd.

Sinopec onshore wind project takes off

China Petroleum and Chemical Corp, or Sinopec, started construction work of the Dali distributed wind-power generation project on Tuesday. It is Sinopec's first onshore wind-power project. The 20 MW project is located in Shaanxi province and contains eight wind-power generating units. It will be put into operation by the end of October with an annual on-grid power capacity of 42.86 million kilowatt-hours, which is equivalent of carbon dioxide emission reduction of 39,600 metric tons each year and reduction of 13,200 tons of standard coal each year.
