RIO DE JANEIRO - Santos have reached a deal to secure midfielder Augusto Galvan on loan from Real Madrid, the Brazilian Serie A side said on Monday.

The 22-year-old, the seventh new addition to Santos' squad this year, will be tied to the club until June 2022.

"I'm very happy because I used to watch Santos matches as a kid and I'm delighted to have the opportunity to wear this shirt," Galvan said in comments posted on Santos' social media accounts.

Galvan has made 19 appearances for Real Madrid's B team, known as Real Madrid Castilla, having also had loan spells with Spanish clubs Las Rozas and Cultural Leonesa.

The former Sao Paulo youth team player joins Marcos Guilherme, Danilo Boza, Vinicius Zanocelo, Camacho and Matias Lacava, as other new signings for Santos 2021.
