The founder of the Ho-Lan Soul International Winery, Chen Deqi, has lived for 15 years in the Ningxia Hui autonomous region. There, he realized his dream of bringing Chinese wine to the world at the eastern foot of the Helan Mountains, after giving up a prosperous life in a large metropolis and investing more than 2.2 billion yuan ($340 million) in the Gobi Desert, turning a wasteland into an oasis. In this video, he shares some of the secrets behind making fine wine in Ningxia.
