National Alpine Skiing Center starts snowmaking for Beijing 2022

The National Alpine Skiing Center in Yanqing, one of the venues for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games, officially started snowmaking for the event on Monday.
The highest altitude of the Yanqing competition zone is 2,198 meters. Due to meteorological conditions meeting requirements for snow, snow trial work started on Nov 10. Snowmaking officially started on Nov 15 and all snowmaking tasks are expected to be completed by mid-January, ensuring ideal conditions for Beijing 2022.
