Premier Li Keqiang said that China will continue to expand high-level opening-up and share new opportunities of China's development with the rest of the world.

He made the remark as he held the sixth "1+6" Roundtable with heads of major international economic organizations in Beijing on Monday evening.

Noting that the Chinese economy has deeply integrated into the world economy, Li said that opening-up is China's own choice in pursuing development and China will open its door still wider.

As this year marks the 20th anniversary of China's entry into the World Trade Organization, he said that over the past two decades China has strictly observed rules, earnestly fulfilled its commitments, and brought benefits to the world while achieving its own development.

The premier said that China has steadily eased market access for foreign investors with nearly two-thirds items on its negative list on the market access of foreign investment have been cut in recent years. And a newly revised list will be released by the end of this year, he said.

As an active part in regional economic cooperation, Li said that China has facilitated the entry into force of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement early next year.

The RCEP shapes the world's most promising free trade area involving the largest population and biggest scale of trade and will add new impetus to regional opening-up and economic recovery, he said.

The roundtable brought together David Malpass, president of the World Bank Group, Kristalina Georgieva, managing director of the International Monetary Fund, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, director-general of the World Trade Organization; Guy Ryder, director-general of the International Labor Organization, Mathias Cormann, secretary-general of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and Klaas Knot, chairman of the Financial Stability Board.

Participants had in-depth exchanges on promoting world economic recovery and post-COVID sustainable growth, and steady development of the Chinese economy under the theme of "Promoting Strong, Inclusive and Sustainable Growth of the World Economy: From Recovery to Restructuring".
