The judgment soon to be delivered by the "Uyghur Tribunal" on whether genocide has been carried out in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region will be a serious violation of international order as the fake court is determined to slander the region based on the presumption of guilt, a regional government spokesman said on Monday.

China has stated many times that the so-called tribunal based in the United Kingdom is a nongovernmental entity funded by anti-China forces and terrorist groups that aim to separate Xinjiang from China. It's aimed at discrediting China with accusations about Xinjiang including "forced labor", "genocide" and "illegal detention of people from non-Han ethnic groups".

"The so-called tribunal is under the control of terrorist groups. It's clearly become a tool for Western anti-China forces to achieve their political goals," Xu Guixiang, a spokesman for the regional government, said during a news conference on Xinjiang-related issues in Beijing.

After organizing two rounds of "hearings", the so-called tribunal plans to deliver its judgment on Thursday.

The "hearings" were all carried out based on the presumption of guilt, Xu said. The "witnesses" were then paid to make false testimonies and give fake evidence on accusations fabricated by anti-China forces, Xu said, adding that the judgment of the "tribunal" would have no legal basis or validity whatsoever.

"Accusing Xinjiang of committing genocide against the Uygurs is the biggest libel case in the history of mankind," Xu said. "Delivering a judgment on such an accusation is a gross blasphemy for people who are the real victims of genocide and will be seen as a gross provocation by the Xinjiang people."

Geoffrey Nice, the "presiding judge" of the so-called tribunal, and Adrian Zenz, an "expert" who testified during the hearings, are both closely linked to anti-China forces, Xu said.

"Zenz is a rogue researcher who is keen on fabricating reports on Xinjiang based on false information," Xu said.

The "witnesses" were always under instructions about what should be said, and some had been involved in separatist and terrorist activities for a long time, Xu said, adding that such a "tribunal" will be surely condemned and despised by the international community.
