Xi'an outbreak at 'turning point', Zhong Nanshan says

The COVID-19 outbreak in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, has come to a turning point with confirmed cases continuing to decrease, renowned Chinese respiratory disease expert Zhong Nanshan said.
Confirmed cases dropped from a peak of 172 to 63 on Wednesday, he noted.
Highly stringent epidemic control measures have been adopted in Xi'an and they have proven effective, he told China Central Television on Thursday.
