To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of China-Madagascar diplomatic relations, an online gala was staged on Nov 6.

Minister of Culture and Tourism of China Hu Heping and Minister of Communication and Culture of Madagascar Lalatiana Rakotondrazafy Andriatongarivo delivered video addresses.

Hu said since the establishment of diplomatic ties 50 years ago, the two countries have always treated each other equally and respected each other. Under the strategic leadership of the leaders of the two countries, China-Madagascar relations have shown strong vitality and the friendly cooperation between the two countries in various fields has yielded fruitful results. It is hoped that the two countries will deepen people-to-people and cultural exchanges, continue to strengthen cultural and tourism exchanges and cooperation, and make new and greater contributions to deepening China-Madagascar comprehensive cooperative partnership and building a community of shared future for China and Africa in the new era.
