Nigerian people celebrate Chinese Lunar New Year
On Jan 14, the "Happy Chinese New Year" temple fair was held at the China Cultural Centre in Nigeria.
This fair included both outdoor and indoor activities, such as games, cultural demonstrations and exhibitions.
The event was jointly organized by the Chinese Embassy to Nigeria, China General Chamber of Commerce in Nigeria, and supported by the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture of Nigeria.
Cui Jianchun, Chinese ambassador to Nigeria attended the event along with many Nigerian governmental officials.
Cui addressed the opening ceremony and said that the year 2023 marks the 52nd Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Nigeria. The win-win cooperation has been strengthened in the fields of economic, culture, education and agriculture.
