Li Ruiheng from Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province, recently became a hero after his quick actions helped save a man trapped under a car, CCTV news reported on Monday.

On the morning of Friday, a collision occurred between an electric bike and an SUV at an intersection in the Jiangbei district of Ningbo. The rider fell and was trapped under the SUV. Li, who was passing by on his bike, immediately stopped and knelt beside the car to check on the injured person, during which several passersby also stopped to help. They tried to lift the car multiple times but were unable to do so because the car was too heavy.

Li then began waving his hands, signaling for help from passing drivers and pedestrians. Thanks to his appeal, within minutes, nearly 20 people had gathered. They worked together and lifted the car and rescued the person under the vehicle. By this time, an ambulance also arrived and the injured person was sent to the hospital for treatment.

The entire rescue took less than three minutes. Afterwards, Li quietly left the scene without leaving his name. The local police posted an online message and found Li on Saturday.

Li, 39, is originally from Hebei province. He settled in Ningbo in 2008 and has two daughters. He later said he had seen a similar video of people lifting a car before and so he didn't hesitate to help when he saw the accident.

"At that time, many people nearby didn't notice someone was trapped under the car, so I waved my hand and shouted, and they understood and immediately came to help," he said.

Li said he didn't think much of his actions afterward and only shared the story with his family to teach his daughters the importance of helping others. He was surprised by the attention he received and said he only wanted to be a good role model for his children.

It is reported that the rescued person is out of life-threatening danger thanks to the quick actions of Li and the other good Samaritans.
