FIFA announced on Sunday that the 10 venues in Australia and New Zealand to host this year's FIFA Women's World Cup have achieved green building certifications.
This is the first time the FIFA women's tournament to be entirely comprised of green building certified stadia, the world football governing body said.
FIFA said it has "placed a strong emphasis and awareness on sustainability for its senior World Cups since the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil."
The 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup will be staged on July 20-August 20 in Australia and New Zealand, the first time the tournament to be hosted by two countries.
