On Oct 2, Indonesian President Joko Widodo inaugurated the Jarkata-Bandung High-Speed Railway, Whoosh, as it was set to begin commercial operations.
Backed by the close cooperation between China and Indonesia, the landmark project under the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative, cuts the journey between Jakarta and Bandung from over 3 hours to roughly 40 minutes.
