The positivity rate of influenza flu across China continued to rise from Nov 13 to 19, the Chinese National Influenza Center said on Thursday.
The country reported 205 influenza flu outbreaks during that period, compared with 127 for the previous seven-day time.
The dominant strain during the period was H3N2 — a subtype of influenza A virus, said the center.
Wang Dayan, head of the center, said during a news conference on Nov 13 that the winter and spring flu season in China usually runs from mid-to-late October to early March and peaks in January.
