Workers are busy making Moutai in the latest cycle of this year's brewing season in Guizhou province.
Workers break up fermented grains in the breweries, then hot soak, rapidly cool, and steam the fermented ingredients. The aroma of liquor wafts through the air.
It takes at least five years to make a bottle of Moutai, which undergoes 30 processes involving 165 steps.
