The episode's subject is the black-faced spoonbill, which is under national first-class protection in China.

According to the producer, Dalian News Media Group, the micro-documentary series - "Seasons Through Birds' Eyes" - presents viewers with a unique perspective by capturing the essence of each solar term through the lens of migratory birds. Each episode corresponds to a specific solar term and features a different migratory bird species.
