2024 outlook for the top 10 AI frontier technology trends unveiled
The 2024 outlook for the top 10 AI frontier technology trends was unveiled last week at the World Science and Technology Development Forum in Beijing.
Qiao Hong, the chairman of the World Robot Cooperation Organization led the unveiling which included AI boundary and ethical supervision models, physical AI systems, among others, making the list.
Hundreds of scientists and scholars, including 27 heads of international scientific organizations, gathered at the forum to discuss topics such as artificial intelligence, shared scientific infrastructure and sustainable ocean development.
The top ten AI frontier technology trends highlighted AI ethics issues. Experts pointed out that the compliance, security and ethical issues of current AI systems are becoming increasingly prominent.
They emphasized the necessity of establishing an AI supervision model framework, setting clear standards and regulations to ensure that all AI systems adhere to established principles during its development and use.
The AI development trends which were released also include interpretable models, full-modal large models, embodied small brain models and world simulators, among other technologies.
"They are full of infinite possibilities and potential, not only bringing a more convenient and efficient way of life but also driving innovation and development across various industries," Qiao said.
