As Spring Festival draws near, a spectacular performance featuring a Huohu (fire pot) show alongside a molten iron fireworks display was staged at the Opening Port Heritage Park in Chongqing's Nan'an district on Saturday evening.
Huohu performances combine the enchanting elements of flame manipulation and artistic skill. Clad in fire-resistant attire, the performers manipulate glowing red-hot charcoal within iron nets, producing a mesmerizing exhibition of blossoming sparks that create a festive vibe.
The Huohu and molten iron fireworks performances are recognized as national intangible cultural heritages. They signify the wish to ward off negativity and promote tranquility within the community.
