Heraeus launches Shenyang quartz plant
German technology company Heraeus Group on Tuesday officially launched its new quartz manufacturing plant in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China's Liaoning province, in its latest move to deepen Sino-German manufacturing cooperation. With a total investment of nearly 600 million yuan ($83.6 million), the plant is Heraeus' largest semiconductor project in China.
Chinese mainland shares close lower
Chinese mainland stocks closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.04 percent to 3368.7 points. The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.05 percent lower at 10643.82 points.
