German professor: AI will help humanity—Just like microelectronics once did

During an interview at the Beijing International Youth Innovation and Development Forum, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Johann L?hn, Honorary Member of the Steinbeis Foundation Board, praised Beijing's innovation momentum. He noted the city's strong support for research and entrepreneurship, adding that if he were a student today, he would come to Beijing.
Reflecting on AI, he recalled how microelectronics once triggered fear — but ultimately transformed the world for the better. He believes AI will do the same: not destroy, but help us in powerful ways.
