Chongqing Brewery sees sales, revenue rise in Q1


Introduction of multiple new products and packaging have helped Chongqing Brewery Company, a brewer based in Chongqing in Southwest China, to record increases in sales volume and operating revenue in the first quarter of 2025, according to the company.
The company achieved beer sales of 883,500 kiloliters, a year-on-year rise of 1.93 percent, with an operating income increase of 1.46 percent year-on-year to 4.36 billion yuan ($600.2 million) in the first three months, according to the company's first-quarter report for 2025.
Since the beginning of this year, the company has accelerated product innovation, introducing multiple new products and packaging to further enrich its product structure and meet diverse consumer demands.
The company boasts a diverse brand portfolio comprising local and international brands such as Carlsberg, 1664, and Brooklyn.
The company, representing Carlsberg China, is also expanding into categories beyond beer, speeding up its presence in the beverage sector, according to the report.
