The landmark Huatie Hotel building near Chongqing Station is being demolished on May 25, 2025, marking the beginning of a comprehensive renovation of the historic train station. Located in Chongqing's Yuzhong district, the station began operations on July 1, 1952. It was closed in June 2022 to facilitate the construction of an important transportation hub in the region.
