The third edition of Xiao Hong Cultural Week took place in Harbin, the capital of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, on May 31. The event pays tribute to Xiao Hong (1911-42), a celebrated writer from China's 1930s literary scene.

Born in Harbin as Zhang Naiying, she published her notable works under the pseudonym Xiao Hong. Her legacy endures despite her untimely death in Hong Kong at 31.

In 1935, she achieved prominence by publishing her first novel, The Field of Life and Death, which featured a preface by renowned writer Lu Xun (1881-1936), solidifying her position in the literary world. Her impactful contributions continue to be remembered and honored through these cultural events.

Opening with a concert, the festival offers over 10 cultural events, such as live performances, exhibitions, and book readings.
