Anandi Hotel Shanghai marks 7th anniversary with wellness goal

The Anandi Hotel & SPA Shanghai recently commemorated its seventh anniversary with a monthlong series of events centered on wellness and healing. The theme, "Healing in Symbiosis · A Perfect Seventh", reflected the hotel's continued focus on promoting balance and mindfulness in urban living.
The anniversary programming was structured around three themes — nature, family and art — offering guests opportunities to engage in activities designed to promote relaxation and well-being. The initiative included workshops and interactive sessions encouraging participants to disconnect from the city's fast pace and reconnect with their surroundings and inner selves.

The celebration culminated on May 30 with a gala dinner attended by 37 guests, including media, business partners, and long-term clients. The evening opened with a sound meditation session using Tibetan singing bowls and included a panel discussion titled "New Paradigms in Healing Living".
Panelists from various fields, ranging from social media influencers to healthcare professionals, shared their views on wellness trends, art therapy, and the role of aesthetics in mental health.
One segment featured a guided sunset meditation in the hotel's Peacock and Olive Tree Garden. Participants engaged in sound healing exercises intended to promote calm and reflection.

Speaking at the event, Patrick Low, president of Shanghai Anandi Hotel Management Company and general manager of The Anandi Hotel & SPA Shanghai, noted that the hotel will continue to explore wellness-centered hospitality. "Moving forward, The Anandi will continue pioneering co-created and innovative healing experiences, helping urban seekers find their equilibrium amid life's rapid pace," Low said.
The hotel, which describes itself as an "urban wellness sanctuary", has built its identity around incorporating alternative wellness practices into hospitality. The anniversary events served both to reflect on the hotel's trajectory over the past seven years and outline future plans focused on wellness innovation.
