Ningde animations shine at Annecy film festival

Two animated projects produced by teams in Ningde, Fujian province, are being showcased at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, an event called the "Oscars of animated films", which runs from Tuesday to Friday in France.
Adventure of Ningde's Sea and Mountain: The Blue Ranch originally premiered in October 2024 with seven 13-minute episodes. The series unfolds against the backdrop of people-centered initiatives implemented by the local government since the late 1980s, including fishermen finding new jobs and the artificial breeding of large yellow croakers.
The festival is also featuring a trailer for the series Jinggu, a fantasy-themed film targeting young audiences. Currently in the preproduction stage, the 2D project will be created in 4K, with 10 episodes lasting 15 minutes each.
These projects are among 12 Chinese animations showcased at the festival.
