Baoji Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Baoji city, Shaanxi province has made breakthroughs in breeding technology and developed several excellent crop varieties.

The chili oil research institute at the academy, led by Xin Xin, has developed a pepper variety. It grows 70-80 centimeters tall with concentrated fruits, meeting the requirements of mechanical harvesting. In the demo fields of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, it has achieved full mechanization from sowing to harvesting.
