Mahama reaffirmed Ghana's commitment to the one-China principle. He expressed the hope of strengthening high-level exchanges between the two countries and enhancing bilateral cooperation in various fields. Mahama also voiced support for the GGI, saying that Ghana is ready to deepen multilateral coordination with China to uphold international fairness and justice.

During his meeting with Amarasuriya, Li emphasized the deep-rooted traditional friendship between China and Sri Lanka.

He expressed China's readiness to align development strategies with Sri Lanka and to advance cooperation in trade, port and green development under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Li emphasized the need for both countries to implement the GGI and strengthen multilateral coordination to jointly safeguard international fairness and justice.

Amarasuriya reaffirmed Sri Lanka's adherence to the one-China principle and its support for the BRI and the GGI. She expressed her country's willingness to deepen bilateral and multilateral cooperation with China and elevate bilateral relations to new heights.

On Monday, Amarasuriya also met in Beijing with Wang Huning, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, China's top political advisory body.

On Monday afternoon, Vice-President Han Zheng met separately in Beijing with Papua New Guinea's Deputy Prime Minister John Rosso and Bulgaria's Vice-President Iliana Iotova, both of whom attended the opening of the meeting.
