"This allows children to experience the joy of traditional culture while exercising, deepening their understanding and appreciation of our local heritage," said Wei Hongfei, an instructor for a lion dance team at a primary school in Nidang town, Xingyi, the prefecture's capital.
Also included is a project in the Xizang autonomous region that trains community sports instructors to promote the traditional Tibetan Guozhuang dance as part of public fitness activity throughout the region.
